Our Mission

Our mission at Turawa Foundation is to transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalized women, children/young adults and the elderly in prone communities and create lasting solutions.

Our Approach

We work strategically with a dedicated network of partners to develop and execute impactful initiatives addressing key societal challenges that are often overlooked. By combining expertise, resources, and passion, we create sustainable change that benefits communities across Nigeria and beyond.

Our Focus Areas

Hunger Eradication

Eradicating hunger is a major challenge of malnutrition, global index shows , Nigeria has one of the highest rates 110 of 124 as at 2024, of food insecurity in the world. According to the World Food Programme, 88.5 million people are currently without sufficient food consumption (a 12.9% increase from July 2023). Turawa Foundation in partnerships with organisations, communities and schools to develop initiatives that will provide food to children and individuals of less privilege.

Education
Access

Our priority at Turawa foundation will be Primary and Secondary education. Our vision is to ensure that young and vulnerable children from low-income families and impoverished communities have access to quality education – we aim to develop several different initiatives throughout the year to make this happen. Including back to school programs, especially the girl child.

Healthcare Improvement

The healthcare system in Nigeria is a concurrent responsibility and challenging. As of 2024, Nigeria now has one of the highest maternal and child mortality rates in the world, as well as a life expectancy that has dropped lower than the global average. A huge amount of work is necessary to develop our healthcare infrastructure, We will focus on various areas, including but not limited to malaria, Maternal health, Teen pregnancies, and more. One of our vision is to support over ten thousand (10) maternal and girl children across Nigeria.
